|
The first rounds of VTS - Internal Medicine applications have been received and evaluated by the Credentialing Committee. AIMVT is pleased to report 23 inaugural candidates have qualified to sit for the first exam, which will be given at the ACVIM forum in San Antonio, TX in June, 2008. At that time, the first VTS- Internal Medicine will be awarded to those candidates who successfully pass the exam. This will be a very exciting and rewarding experience for the AIMVT founding members, to see the fruition of many years work, from the formation of the academy to accomplishment of its ultimate goal!
Many communications have already been received from the second batch of candidates, who have begun to collect and assemble cases for their case logs and case reports, and to assure that they satisfy all the necessary requirements for the October 1, 2007 - October 1, 2008 application year, in order to sit for the second exam at the ACVIM conference in 2009 in Montreal. If you are considering this process, we think that Tracy, one of our 2008 candidates said it best. "I am getting very excited about this process. I can’t believe how much I have learned throughout the year and how it has benefited my practice and it’s patients.” We wish both groups the best in their preparations, and we look forward to welcoming more highly qualified internal medicine technicians into our group.

The case report moderator will meet you before your presentation and pre-load your presentation on the desktop of the computer.
